About the NWI Mission The NWI or National Wells Index is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the historical, social and material legacy of England’s Holy Wells through ongoing programs of research and publication. Fieldwork An important aspect of the NWI’s work is a field unit, used to research, record and reconstruct many of England’s Holy Wells so that we can conserve this important resource for future generations to enjoy. Education The NWI recognise the importance of education for the preservation of a better future and work towards the creation of a range of free education resources.
